Popular lightweight tearable elastic adhesive bandage

  • Physio favourite
  • Easily torn by hand
  • Good adhesion
  • Quick on-field compression

Mueller Tear-light is a lightweight elastic adhesive bandage which can be easily torn and like Lightplast Pro and Vivolight is one of the most popular styles of tape used by the sports physiotherapist in modern sports medicine. As it is hand tearable, this stretch bandage is ideal for quickly applying compression to an injured ankle or a soft tissue injury on the field of play, and therefore offers the physio a major advantage over standard elastic adhesive bandages. It has become a standard tape in rugby union for creating the line out lifting wedges now prevalent in the modern game, where a wrap is created around the thigh of the lock using a foam block (locklift), Mueller Tearlight and insulating tape to secure the bandage.

If you are using this tape to create a lifting wedge on the thighs of rugby players, you may find Vivomed Locklifts a useful addition as they can be used under the tape to provide a great lifting edge.
