PVC Sock tape, or more commonly insulating tape, is effectively the same tape used by electricians. It has been used over the years for a variety of purposes, but can be most commonly seen as a quick an easy method of securing socks and shin guards in football. In rugby, players often use it to give extra security to elastic adhesive bandages or cohesive tapes which are wrapped around the head to protect the ears while scrummaging; or just to provide an extra level of adhesive protection to a taping procedure. Simply tape over the applied EAB with insulating tape and it will help keep it in place.
