 Relistat Nasal Plugs

The Relistat Nasal Plugs help maintain a moist healing environment by forming a soft gel.

  • Absorbs up to 20 times their own weight.
  • Preformed Nasal Wool Plug.
  • Promotes fast healing.
  • Easy to remove.
  • Soft and comfortable.
  • Individually wrapped

For plain cotton nasal plugs please use Mueller Nasal Plugs

Relistat plugs are composed of soft, preformed, non-woven materials.

The Calcium Alginate Dressing is highly absorbent, and conforms to the shape of the wound.

Once the dressing is inserted, it interacts with the wound to form a soft gel that maintains a moist healing environment and prevents the dressing from sticking.

Removal is made much easier, and any clots of blood remain small, greatly reducing the risk of causing fresh bleeding.

ADVANTAGES

  • Highly absorbant due to a mixture of non-woven fibres and Sodium Alginate Powder which helps the blood clot.
  • A gel is then formed within the wound to maitain a moist healing enviromnet that lowers bacteria activity.
  • The release of Calcium Ions can activate Thrombinogen and imporove Haemostasis

INDICATIONS

Over 90% of nosebleeds are anterior nosebleeds, which occur in the lower cavity, or front of the nose.

Relistat is designed to quickly and conveniently stop minor nosebleeds.

EASY SELF-TREATMENT Relistat Nasal Plugs

  • Step 1. Gently blow your nose to clear any clots. (Blood clots in the nasal cavity can increase the blood flow and become the cause of re-bleeding).
  • Step 2. Tear open the sterile pack.
  • Step 3. Insert the preformed nasal plug into the Lower Cavity.
  • Step 4. Remove within 30 minutes. If bleeding continues, repeat steps 3 to 4
