The Push Sports Thumb Brace stabilises and protects the middle thumb joint (MCP-1) and offers relief in case of persisting pain in the thumb as a result of overstretching or sprain of the thumb (skiing thumb). The other thumb and wrist joints keep their freedom of movement.

• (Partial) rupture of the ulnar collateral ligament MCP-1 (skier's thumb)
Applying the brace

I tore my UCL on my thumb. I have rehabbed it and am back lifting weights. This brace does a fantastic job of making sure my thumb doesn't over extend when laying on my back and doing things like dumb bell bench press.
My only issue which is why I gave it 4 stars is that the fabric that wraps the inside of the thumb (the web of the hand), is slowly tearing every time I grip the dumb bells. Soon, it will be completely torn ( i had the same issue with the PSG brace also.) . My temporary solution has been to cut one finger off of the rubber gloves you would use to wash dishes with, and slide it onto the fabric. This way, the rubber is between the thumbs fabric, and the weights. Hoping that this will slow the process or tearing down, as the weight isn't rubbing up against the fabric.
If you do not lift weights, this is a perfect 5/5 brace.

Really good support for using during sports or if you have a serious injury. It really supports and holds your thumb in place.
I only wish someone would make a waterproof one!!
